Partnership

With partnership as one of our core values, we prioritize collaboration with our network of experts to provide robust and current information. We will continually develop new partnerships to improve resources available. Below is an ever-growing list of those partnerships, especially the host sites that welcome our members.

We are currently looking for organizations to host
our AmeriCorps Members starting in Fall 2024.

Our members will support your organization in addressing the opioid crisis in your community by utilizing the strategic prevention framework and educating the community on substance use and mental health.

Members will engage in community education and harm reduction efforts through coordinating and directly providing naloxone training as well as presentations on stigma reduction, recovery, and Connecticut’s opioid epidemic more broadly.

Prevention Corps works with our partners to identify their needs, develop the member’s position description, and connect them with a qualified, hardworking AmeriCorps member.

Prevention Corps staff recruits, interviews, and trains candidates for placement with host sites. During their term of service, members receive monthly trainings, weekly support from Prevention Corps staff, and additional opportunities to gain skills and knowledge.
